Spanish Rice

  • Serves: 10
  • Cook Time: 15-20 in

Ingredients

  • 3 cups uncooked rice
  • 1 - 2 tablespoon oil
  • 1 can consommé
  • 1 - 8 oz. can tomato sauce
  • to taste garlic powder
  • salt & pepper
  • 1 medium - chopped onion
  • 4 chopped green California Chilies

Directions

Pour oil in bottom of large saucepan. Pour 3 cups rice into oil and brown lightly. Add onions and chilies. Using beef consume, tomato sauce and water make sure you have a total of 6 cups of liquid. Pour the 6 cups of liquid into the saucepan of rice. Sample to taste. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes. Sample to taste.
