Hi rstor1, Congratulations on your project! The ability to download and play songs from YouTube is much desired. Your music player and project's name, "anytune", is a good name. 😀 It is also the trademarked name of our business, "Anytune Inc." which publishes the Anytune app, an iOS, MacOS and Android Music Player app on the Apple App store, Apple Mac App Store and Google Play for over a decade. This name choice may mislead or confuse others with regard to our brand and is a GitHub trademark policy violation. I appreciate you have generously posted this source code to benefit others and share your coding skills. We kindly ask you to change the name of the project and app. Alternative, could you add a comment to the About and Read: About: A free iOS app for downloading any song on youtube and play it in the integrated track player.
README.mdDescription This is a music player .... I will not be maintaining this repo.
Thank you. You can contact us at support@anytune.app. By the way, Anytune provided the ability to download and play YouTube songs many years ago. However after YouTube clarified their terms of use prohibiting downloading of content, and Apple started enforcing these rules we were required to remove this capability from the app. |
