Local game installers would be nice. like a directory of game titles. personally I use the game slug from igdb for the game folder name.

I have added local folder support in the latest update. It will use the folder name to try to match the game, or you can define an override json file in the game folder (see readme). Let me know how well it works for you.

for local matching is it using the name of the game or the game slug? the docs seem to indicate it'll use the name. I ask because I think the slug should also be unique. Just looking for clarification.
