Podcast App - How to save progress of audio tracks?

Is there a way, to keep track of the progress of an audio file while playing.

I am building a podcast webapp and want to save the progress of the played audio file.

I also want to save the file as "complete" if the user passes the 95% mark.

Are there any events I can use to trigger those actions?
