We need to provide a better way to handle internal reuse of products, as far as I understand this.

This is mostly confusion around how internal loops work within the planner. Need to consider representing them better... somehow.

I was referring to the bug/feature where if you add say, 1200 plastic, and the add Fuel (using the Residual Fuel recipe), you have to manually add the quantity (it should be 400). Now if I drop the plastic to 800, instead of the trim button appearing, it just displays a message to manually correct the amounts. I think it's because Heavy Oil Residue is a byproduct.

Yes there's handling around byproducts as it's really hard to know what the user wants to do, so we prompt them to enter it manually.
