"Double Skip" when using Bluetooth device

When pressing a "next song" button on a Bluetooth device (car, headphones) the app skips ahead 2 songs (e.g. from track 5 to track 7) instead of one song (e.g. from track 5 to track 6). Behavior is normal in other applications, so I don't think it's my phone's configuration.

That’s weird ! I can’t reproduce it with my Bluetooth speaker.

Does it do the same thing with the “previous song” button ?

What is your version of android ?

"Previous song" was the same behavior. I haven't been able to reproduce it on my Bluetooth speaker since rebooting the phone. When I get the chance I will see if it still happens in my car. Pixel 8 Android 16.

Good evening, it behaves similarly on my device, a Samsung Galaxy s23 with android version 16 One Ui 8. A bluetooth device is not needed though, it skips a song every time a song ends, both when listening to playlists and albums. The next song and previous song buttons work fine when I tap them but if a song was skipped that way they keep skipping it.
