Feature request: Hybrid Processflow component

We were pushed to use the Processflow compontent over the Breadcrumb component (optically) for our 2nd Level navigation.
Which is acutally a process out of the regular structure of the surounding website.

We tie closely to the component and tried to use it's full a11y features, which makes us ending in having a aria-selected="true".
Whereas we would prefeer aria-current="true" (this would then differ from the Breadcrumb compontent having aria-current="location"). Further we would prefeer anchor tags over clickable divs for links (as in the Breadcrumb component).
The role=tab should also be replaced by role=navigation in our usecase (as in the Breadcrumb component).

Thus I would request a feature, that makes the current Processflow component "hybrid".
Something like a "page"-mode, one, the currently existing used for dynamic step content on the same page. And a new one which can be used to reflect a process-flow over several standalone pages.
