[Feature request] Launch custom scripts/applications from bar icons

I have automated some parts of my PC with custom shell-scripts, which I'm very happy with.
Mostly I control things through rofi scripts, such as my VPN connection & endpoint, connecting with Bluetooth devices, connecting with wifi, etc.
I would really like to be able to launch these scripts, or any other commands by interacting with the bar.

I think this would be a great feature addition to make it much more versatile. Being able to add custom icons to the bar for this would be a helpful feature as well.
