add player button greyed out

The Add Player button is greyed out, even though all required fields are filled in.

I noticed this myself (hence my comment in the recent PR fixing firebase). I don't know what's wrong nor have the inclination to fix it, but will accept a PR to do so.

The button seems to be tied to item.form.$invalid which I can't find a definition for. Can you point out where that's set?

I believe that uses an angular forms equivalent.

can anyone advise how to fix this issue? I still have this problem in the lastest code.
