Settings page displays 404 error after extension install

Users who have just added the extension via Magento Connect or via FTP will encounter a 404 error upon first visiting the settings page (System > Configuration > SheerID). This is a known issue with newly installed extensions, as discussed here: http://www.magentocommerce.com/boards/viewthread/225733/

The workaround for this is to log out of the admin area and log back in.
