Sparrow is the open-source version of the Yanzi application layer used in all Yanzi IoT products. Sparrow 1.0 is the first release and it includes the application layer implementation and all required tools and demo software needed to use it. Sparrow is Contiki based, and make use of Contiki as a sub-module.
Important features in this release include:
- Sparrow application layer implementation
- Sparrow ports for Zolertia Re-Mote, Firefly, and IoT U-10 (Yanzi product).
- Tools for preparing images and doing over-the-air upgrade of sparrow devices.
- Implementation of LWM2M with IPSO Object and DTLS support
- Significantly improved border router and serial radio with full support for upgrade over the serial interface - and many other improvements.
- Demo server that demonstrates the new border router, serial radio and connected sparrow devices
