There are pre-formatted links like: http://simbad.u-strasbg.fr/simbad/sim-coo?Coord=[ra]+[deg]&Radius=10&Radius.unit=arcmin , where [ra],[dec] are decimal degrees of the cursor location.

These could be used to open searches for objects near the cursor position
