DragonOS

Good evening. A few people asked me about the project and unfortunately I’ve not had time to look till now at the setup. At a quick glance there’s a high likelihood if the setup script is ran on DragonOS blindly - things like a rebuild of rtlsdr blog driver could damage the included one (maybe not). There’s a few other applications in DragonOS that are already preinstalled from source. I wonder perhaps if the intercept setup script could go one step further and check for existing libraries in the common locations on Ubuntu?

If I get a chance here soon, I will do a full install on a fresh DragonOS after altering some of the setup script to remove things I know already exists. This also reminds me to consider adding a special file in /etc to distinguish DragonOS from stock Ubutnu on desktop builds and from Raspberry Pi OS on Pi builds.

That’s me, same same. Just have a couple different GitHub accounts with the one I’m logged into now being the one I primarily maintain some repos under. I had a good buddy asking me while I was on a trip to look at including intercept so I wanted to follow up on that. Also, if you give my fork of sparrow-wifi a look.. may be worth taking a page from there and making intercept “agents” so one controller could interface and control and/or take data in from multiple agents.

I've made some changes in the setup to detect dragonOS. It's also more interactive now.

Awesome! I’ll try it this week on a fresh install and observe the outcome. I’m nearly positive i do have a file already up under /etc that marks it as DragonOS Noble but I’ll check. The Pi build is a different story, but you probably found ways of knowing its dragon vs stock installs.

Re: DragonOS installs- myself, and many run DragonOS_Pi64- on Pi 5s.... seeing communications such as the above and videos where DragonOS is referenced- I'm updating due to wanting to utilize Intercept, but I see the Pi64 version not updated for a bit of time- unfortunately I have to do fresh flash... I still stick with the DragonOS_Pi64 and update once done? Or?

I've just started to take a look at the Pi5 build, there's already some of the tools in place and it may just take a tweak or to for the install script to pickup on some already existing libraries/drivers that are in place.
