Issue RCAL-716 was created on JIRA by William Jamieson:

There are many easy performance gains that I can spot in the stcal implementation.

Completed by spacetelescope/stcal#229

This resulted in a speedup of running the data listed in RCAL-702:

  • from ~1.5min to ~3sec for ramp fitting without jump detection.
  • from ~6min to ~11sec for ramp fitting with jump detection.

These are extremely significant performance gains.
