First, let me says "Thanks!" for all the PHP packages spatie has been developing over the years. I've been using a few myself.
I understand why, for instance, this package has PHP 8 as dependency. Some of the features is using are not available in PHP 7.
But some of us, are unable to update the PHP version or forced to use lower PHP versions. For example, a project I'm working on uses PHP 7.4 and I'm unable to upgrade the PHP version of this server, as it is not mine. Because of this, making use of this nice package is impossible without a rewrite. I wonder how many developer are in my situation are and moving toward a different PHP package (if that even exists). I also know that maintaining 2 version of this package is not feasible.
What I'm saying is that, I see no way of supporting lower PHP, but maybe you guys have a better insight of this issue and can come with a solution.
