When using something like this: [1.9.1,4) it throws and invalid version error.
[1.9.1,4)
dependencies: [ {id: "jQuery", version: "[1.9.1,4)"}, {id: "FontAwesome", version: "4.7.0"} ],
That version range is from bootstrap v3 nuget specification file.

I got it to work with this regex expression: ^(\[[0-9\,\.]+\)|\]|\(|\[[0-9\,\.]+\)|\]|\([0-9\,\.]+\]|\)|[0-9]+\.[0-9]+)$
