AR passionate who loves this everyday evolving technology and appreciates sharing / helping / discussing / developing on it with others from beginners to experts but who also needs a little financial help.

To make it short I've been working on mobile applications since the real beginning.
It could seem far away but my first job was to make apps for Nokia phones and I'm still as much enthusiastic by the idea of making wonderful/helpful things that can feet in everyone's pocket.

What are the concerned projects?

What can sponsoring bring to you?

  1. A constantly maintained/evolved Android AR SDK.

I could have made the choice to keep everything private as it costs much more time to make it public from documentating, exposing classes/functions, making samples to answering others about how it works.
But I really think that it doesn't make sense to duplicate the same kept private work instead of bringing each other common needs to the same place.

Developers don't sell technologies but their results = The concrete part, not the licence one

    • If you want to contribute by bringing your developments to the SDKs, it will be a pleasure to add you to the contributors list and everyone is welcome.
    • If you just want to use it for fun on your free time, it's also great pleasure to know that the SDKs can bring new AR lovers without being afraid of Unity or OpenGL. And be sure we will help you on doing what you want to achieve.
    • If those SDKs indirectly generate incomes to you or your company maybe you should just ask yourself "How much time would it have taken me if those repos didn't exist?" or "Would I be able to answer to my client that I can make this AR thing without this SDKs?"
  2. Quick answers on issues/questions

  3. Personal dedicated time to help you with possibly screensharing and voice call.

  4. Coming Screencasts to help developers on specific AR parts.

Why sponsoring?

I'm always happy to discuss, share and help the people who work on AR on Android but this takes a lot of time and is sometimes only useful for the concerned person.

I can dedicate a little consulting/fixing/development time which can save you a lot of time and, we have to say it, maybe bring you back some money...but that should logically bring me financial counterparts since it costs me life time.

Why do I need sponsoring?

To finish, just to talk about my personal work story, I've been a Freelance developer for the last 10 years before integrating my present company.

But the fact is that I'm not good at the commercial/financial part at all. I'm just passionate and ready to spend day and night time working on my technologies but that is not enough to run a business.

I don't want to beg or pity but the fact is that I had to close my own single employee company with some debt to pay during coming years and even if that was not my goal at all to make money with Sceneform and RealityCore, now that I spend most of my nights and week-ends on it, that would be a great breath to have financial help not to become rich but just for being a little less everyday scared about the closed company financial debts to pay.
