I am currently a Computation and Informatics in Biology and Medicine (CIBM) postdoctoral fellow at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, but work remotely from Chicago. I received my PhD in Pharmacognosy (focused on microbial specialized metabolism/chemistry) from the Universtiy of Illinois at Chicago where I was an NIH F31 fellow.
I currently write a lot of Python, R, Bash, Nextflow, etc. code. Creating tools for metagenomics, trancriptomics and metabolomics.
I am the creator/maintainer of multiple the R packages including IDBac; Leaflet map of researchers for the American Society of Pharmacognosy; and electricShine/duplipy for creating portable Shiny apps.
