Looking over my GitHub profile and my blog, you can see that I enjoy creating open source utilities and extensions, and writing about how I solve technical problems. My blog's About
page page lists some of the more popular open source software I've created. I typically create tools to solve problems that I face as a developer, and then share them with the world for free.
One of the largest downsides about creating many open source projects is having to maintain them. Getting funding to maintain my open source creations helps me justify dedicating more time to them, and to creating new open source tools.
