Who am I?

My name is David Gilbert, I live in Switzerland and was born and raised in New Zealand. I began working on open source Java projects more than 20 years ago and I continue because I love it!

What am I working on?

My main goal for 2022 is to complete the release of JFreeChart 2.0, the first version of JFreeChart to fully support the Java module system. I also intend to continue maintaining and developing the Graphics2D projects, JFreeSVG being the most popular.

Why Your Sponsorship is Important

First and foremost, your sponsorship provides validation that my work is valuable. Secondly, the funds will be used to cover out-of-pocket expenses (hosting and hardware) that I would otherwise pay myself. And finally, I am committed to allocating at least 10% of sponsorship funds to further sponsor other developers through the GitHub sponsorship program.

Thank you for your sponsorship!

@jfree

Reaching this goal will provide solid recognition that people value the work I'm doing to support the open source Java eco-system.
