Greetings from Mailvelope! Rooted in the belief that privacy is a fundamental right, we are committed to providing a highly usable open source software solution that empowers individuals and organizations to protect their email communication through end-to-end encryption.

Mailvelope is an established and well-known provider of open source encryption software for over 10 years.
Distributing a browser extension, we were able to show that PGP works in the browser. In particular, we successfully managed to handle private user data in browsers in such a way that the email service providers do not have access to it.
This has been proven in a series of security reports and audits. Today, we have a growing user base of currently 300,000 users.

In the German market, we succeeded in bringing the two largest German email providers on board. Both GMX (18M users) and WEB.DE (23M users) have integrated the possibility to use Mailvelope since 2015.
We also keep receiving positive feedback from the open source community.

At Mailvelope, we are constantly evolving and innovating to meet the needs of our users.
