Campatibility with ATOM-SPECTRA UART Serial port

Hi Guys,

I am working on some code upgrades to add functionality for high end ATOM-SPECTRA MCA devises now available on my web site. These devices are not sound card spectrometers, they produce the entire spectrum on the hardware side and send the full 8192 channel spectrum to the PC via USB serial connection.

Integrating this into IMPULSE involves

• identifying when such a serial device is connected
• including in in the device selection options
• adding a subset of python scripts to read the serial connection and write the spectrum to JSON

These enhancements will hopefully not break any existing functions.
