entries ordering in collection

I need some help I have collection which is orderable,

sort_dir: desc
date_behavior:

  max_depth: 1

on /cp/collections/before_after_collection I click 'reorder' , make some reordering, click on 'save' .. after that collection entries are not ordered as I ordered, even I change entry listing to 'reorder' state
Entries on tree are ordered correctly, checked many times!
Do I making something wrong?

It's a dated collection, don't think you can re-order them.

'Publish Dates' are not used on this collection, even date: true is not exists in before_after_collection.yaml.
Can you explain me how can I check, if is it a dated collection or not?

I tried to make it false .. same problem. Entry listing simply ignores entries order.

Ah looks like the problem is because your collection has the word collection in it.

Modified the collection handle, removed _collection from before_after_collection and it works perfectly. Thank you all who helped.

Maybe modify docs
Sort entries by field name (or random). You may pipe-separate multiple fields for sub-sorting and specify sort direction of each field using a colon. For example, sort="title" or sort="date:asc|title:desc" to sort by date then by title. To sort manually, use sort="order". (Make sure to set max depth to 1 for your collection and collection handle can not contains 'collection' string).
