I actually use the browser Brave... But I figured I would repro in Chrome.

If I have Chrome open with 63 tabs with google.com with DockAltTab switching between the tabs is painfully slow. Introduces ~1 to ~3 seconds of lag. Sometimes the mouse pointer twitches. Sometimes the highlight lags.

If I shut off DockAltTab performance immediately comes back.

I did not figure out what the tipping point is. But it seems like when the icons get smaller is the cause?

Maybe I found a weird interaction with something else + DockAltTab + Sonoma.

Also don't judge me on the tabs, haha!

Thanks!

you have the option ticked ON for "treat tabs as separate windows?" that maybe adding the hiccup. By turning off you obv lose seeing all tabs open in 1 window....i usually have numerous tabs open in 2+ windows.
