What does reveal do? No effect on Linux

Describe the question

I'm struggling to see any effects of reveal, e.g. what yazi.toml does:

]

Jump to a directory or reveal a file using fzf

With z (zoxide), it provides a menu of directories with a preview of hovered directory's contents and on selection, yazi goes to that directory. With Z, fzf launches (just a menu, no previews) and selecting it with enter, yazi goes that file, no notify-send.

I've selected a variety of files.

How is reveal = [ ] supposed to work?
