I'm not sure what you mean by "debian default shell", but I doubt it supports displaying images. The fact that you can see images in your local tmux session might be because Yazi fell back to ueberzugpp, which is installed locally. In that case, I don't think you can use ueberzugpp over ssh, since ueberzugpp doesn't support that, see jstkdng/ueberzugpp#198 |

I am running yazi in a compute cluster, and I frequently need to run nested tmux sessions. Image preview works fine for a single tmux layer, but when I run tmux within a tmux, the image preview would no longer work.
