HiDPI Setting

I am wondering whether it would make sense to include a HiDPI setting in the spacemacs configuration. I just accidentally stumbled across (setq pdf-view-use-scaling t) which greatly improved the display of PDF documents on screens with a high DPI. I could imagine that there are other layers that are similarly affected. Perhaps prominently placed information to nudge the user to customize the layers would already be helpful. Screen resolutions are only growing...
