What happened?

I just added an inverter for testing purposes.
It is night time, so no communication will take place anyway.
However the new inverter is IMHO not initialized correctly.

image

Data Age: 688,989 seconds / 11/28/2024, 22:11:55

It shows the uptime of the OpenDTU as the Data Age,
not just some seconds / minutes since adding / creation of the inverter.

After some time it shows now:
Data Age: 689,180 seconds / 11/28/2024, 22:11:57

To Reproduce Bug

Just add a dummy inverter, which can not be reached during night time.
Actually it would also work in daytime, just make sure you have your OpenDTU running for some time already.

Expected Behavior

The inverter should be initialized with the creation timestamp for calculating the data age.

Install Method

Pre-Compiled binary from GitHub releases

What git-hash/version of OpenDTU?

OpenDTU v24.11.7 (latest)

What firmware variant (PIO Environment) are you using?

generic_esp32s3

Please confirm the following

  • I believe this issue is a bug that affects all users of OpenDTU, not something specific to my installation.
  • I have already searched for relevant existing issues and discussions before opening this report.
  • I have updated the title field above with a concise description.
  • I have double checked that my inverter does not contain a W in the model name (like HMS-xxxW) as they are not supported.
