Virtual modes aren't active

Hello everyone,
I'm not sure whether this post is on the right place, sorry if not.
However, I'm using HDDSC PRO 2.3.3. Unfortunately, I'm not able to user any of the Virtual Modes as they totally grayed out.
Furthermore one is not able to uncheck the Slow Driver mode also.
Additionally, I'm not able to change any of "Timer Settings".
Can anyone help?

you need to select a driver that supports the correct modes, the default is ata generic which works with almost any source, but the ata direct and usb direct modes offer all the fine-tuning features because they use a lower level access to the drive.
