Mila p. 25a (T9953) shows an example of V-not-V to mean "whether or not":

tshe ’dir sangs rgya mi rgya khyod rang gi snying rus la rag las

whether or not you attain buddhahood in this life will depend on your own perseverance” (Quintman p. 69)

How should this be annotated?

For this we will use a new relation aux:redup. "Redup" is short for "reduplication". compound:redup is used in various UD corpora, so this follows a trend. I have modified the sentence annotation as follows:

Note that if the reduplicant copies an aux:lvc as in this example, then it will depend on the first verb and not the verb it is a copy of.

I'll keep this issue open until the documentation has been updated.
