Uncaught PHP Exeption TypeError "SamlProvider"

Hello everyone,

I was using kimai2 on docker for several months now without any issue. To keep up to date I also included the containers into my watchtower routine to update them automatically every week.

Since updating to the latest version I'm now unable to access my kimai2 web interface with the following error.

The log of the kimai container throws the following errors.

I did check the getSecurity_Authentication_Provider_Saml_SecuredAreaService.php file but I'm not sure if there were any updates applied to this file.

Any ideas how to get kimai2 installation back to work?

Cache reload will solve the issue. Search discussion and/or closed issues, I think that exact error was discussed before.

Thank you very much, I was able to solve this issue with a cache reload with the following commands.

sudo docker exec --user=www-data -it KIMAI-CONTAINER-NAME /bin/bash
cd /opt/kimai
bin/console cache:clear

I wonder why that happens for some users after the upgrade...

I just checked the login via the android app that requires the API credentials.

Unfortunately this still fails with the following error.

Unknown API error. Please check your internet connection and/or try again later.

Any idea how to get rid of this too?

Figured it out, sorry for bothering!
This error appeared to to an permissions issue on write privileges on path /opt/kimai/var/.
