Capital One’s Open Source Office (OSO) is looking for a talented technologist to assist in the management of the Open Source Software (OSS) processes (e.g. use of OSS, contribution to OSS and launching Capital One developed OSS) and the management of key communications channels used to educate the developer community. Provide support to the Manager of the OSS Governance Program in the creation of controls, tests, reporting, communication and education activities.
Responsibilities

Support the open source office in managing the operational pipeline of requests for intake, contributions and new OSS projects.

Monitor and add content to open source office communication sites

Assist in the development of tests and a tracking mechanism for managing test results

Assist in the design and implementation of the governance reporting

Assist in the creation of documentation and education for the governance program

Support, as needed, automation to streamline governance processes

Work with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios

Work within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across a full-stack of development tools and technologies

Bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal & external technology communities, and mentor other members of the engineering community

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors Degree or military experience
