Paperlike 253 Color not supported

I'm trying to get the Paperlike 253 Color working with the code here but I've had no luck using the config.txt for the 253 black and white.

I'm using le potato instead of the rpi, but using the raspbian 12.0 that's released for that board. The edid.dat files that I get from the monitor itself seems a bit odd, but it works on my x86 laptop out of the box.

The result of running edid-decode it:

Hmm, you have data blocks, but not video ones... weird
Something strange happened. 

Any ideas on what to do to get this working?

any progress with the Paperlike 253 color version? Paperlike 253 b/w is working just fine without the dat files.

maybe try base rasp 4 with latest updates and no custom dat?

None what so ever. This is for le potato so you may have better luck with the rpi 4. If I ever get back to this project I will be buying that board instead.

you need at least rpi4. older version will not output full resolution. running an art display in b/w with rpi4 no issues at all!

i hope someone reads: is rpi4 working with the dasung 253 color?
