Files with the .mei extension are not supported for upload to most solid pod hosts. Therefore, uploading a mei file for the campaign manager is currently only possible using the 'select from disk' option.

This is a limitation imposed by some user interfaces (including the default node-solid-server one hosted e.g. on https://trompa-solid.upf.edu), which only allow uploads of certain file extensions. It's not a limitation of the Solid server itself, however.
To circumvent, you could:

  • HTTP POST the MEI file into any Solid container you have write access to
  • Use an alternative UI that doesn't impose this restriction, e.g. https://podbrowser.inrupt.com

Either way it should be possible to POST MEI into a Pod with a .mei extension!

@musicog Thanks for your input! Using the podbrowser.inrupt.com UI it's possible indeed, as well as using our alternative upload method mentioned above. These options are sufficient for the time being, but we might add the functionality to the solid filemanager.
