I am running Ubuntu 20.04, which has deprecated Python2.7. My Python is really rusty, and I have not looked into how certbot runs DNS plugins. Now that the LetsEncrypt people have deprecated certbot-auto ( Certbot 1.9.0 Release ), I am really at a loss of how to use this plugin.

I would like to ask, if I may, for a quick opinion -- Can this plugin be made to work with a few tweaks, or is a serious overhaul required?
