I think popping up notification toasts every time they use macro may be helpful for some people but annoying for most people. So it should not be a default behavior.
Instead, we already have a status bar item (REC) to indicate the macro recording state and temporal messages on the status bar to notify the state changes. Making the indicator clickable and adding functionality may be a good new feature.
