Concerns:

  • Extreme privacy concerns - can we maintain them?

I feel like this issue can be solved on the front-end side if we were to find a way to create a page that render's an "anonymous salaries" view where a user will be able to fill out a form that asks for them to answer which company they worked for, what was their salary was, benefits, etc.

A way to deal with the privacy concerns is by requiring Google+ OAuth where it requires users to login in order to even post anything on that page. I haven't thought that much into detail about all the other problems it might have so I'll just leave this in for now,

Another approach we can do to tackle this problem is to probably use the salaries posted on Turing's "#salaries" channel where some brave soul creates a CSV with all of this information that'll allow the back-end team to create an internal API that will somehow be up to date with any new post relating to salaries.
