maxlength prop

Is it likely that a maxlength prop could be added to the component to be passed to the underlying input?

We work around this in our own project via the use of React.findDOMNode on the `ìnput``ref, but we can open a PR with proper support for the prop if it is something that the project maintainer feels would be acceptable.

Yes, I am open to the idea for something like a maxlength, but could you elaborate a bit more?
For example, did you mean that you wanted to restrict the total number of characters on the input or the total number of characters per tag?
