App does not open

I typed 'subtitleeditw' into Terminal and it just returned my name.

I'm attaching the Terminal log of the installation in case it provides clues.

I understand 10.11 may not be supported, but this issue could help refine the installation process.

I see in the log: "Error: macOS High Sierra or newer is required for this software. Warning: You are using macOS 10.11. We (and Apple) do not provide support for this old version.
You will encounter build failures with some formulae."

I think that the old system is indeed most likely the problem.

On BigSur and I'm having this same behavior. Is there a way to debug the process? It's not showing in the process monitor.
