So I noticed my spell check is enabled, language selected but it's not working. Checking my settings I'm now getting: Spell check dictionary download failed. I disabled all network security and a few other things, pinged google (reaching just fine) but still it won't install. So I grabbed the .dic file for my language and tried tossing it in ~/.config/cromite/Dictionaries and restarted Cromite...still no dice. Any suggestions on how to get this working? (Hunspell and my dictionary are installed on the system in general too.) |

the disabling of downloads from google sites is intentional.
insert the link to the .dic so we can verify, I don't know that code |

I didn't add any code, I gave the relative path to the cromite profile where I placed the chromium dictionary file for my language. I'm fine with google being blocked (I block google at my network level) but I still need basic things like spell check so how / where are users supposed to find dictionaries and where do you place them to install? Again I grabbed the dic file from the Chromium github hunspell files and placed it in ~/.config/cromite/Dictionaries. ***For anyone else wondering about this I figured it out. All the stuff I found online for path and file either pointed to the txt or the dic files neither of which work or are correct. You need the bdic file. There are a few places you can find these files but you can clone |
