# This is my (Neil's) build instructions for the AOI driver. Mainly it is about knowing the cmake
# incantation, and also knowing that you need the GDAL source code available.
#
# If anyone would care to re-write this as a more generic INSTALL.txt, feel free.
# You will need the GDAL source code handy. Unzip it into the current directory, e.g.
# tar xfJ gdal-2.3.0.tar.xz
#
# Ensure this matches the version you have installed.
#
# Know what your preferred C anc C++ compilers are called.
# Know where to find your GDAL include and lib files - you may need
# to set CMAKE_PREFIX_PATH so cmake can find them if they are in
#
cmake \
-DCMAKE_C_COMPILER=gcc-7 \
-DCMAKE_CXX_COMPILER=g++-7 \
-DCMAKE_PREFIX_PATH=$DIR_WHERE_GDAL_IS \
-DGDAL_SRC_PATH=gdal-2.3.0 \
-DCMAKE_CXX_STANDARD=11 \
.
make
# Copy the resulting ogr_AOI.so to the directory set aside for it,
# which will then be in the GDAL_DRIVER_PATH
# e.g. cp ogr_AOI.so $AOI_DRIVER_HOME
