Most provinces have a nomination program targeting students who have completed post-secondary studies in an eligible program of studies. You may get a “certificate of selection” (COS) from Quebec through to the fast-track program: Quebec
Experience Program after working in Quebec for the duration of one year full-time (at least 30 hours per
week) on a work permit in most occupations or having completed an eligible program of study. In both
cases, French language requirements have to be met at the COS application stage. Once you get a COS, the
Canadian Permanent Residency may be granted after a successful medical and criminal check.
Depending on your profile and on the periodic employers’ needs, we might be able to match you with an
employer and represent you in this administrative process until all the necessary immigration

Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) to show to the Canadian Authorities that no Canadian Citizens or
Permanent residents were able to fill the labor shortage after having done recruitment efforts as indicated
in the regulations.

Quebec has created a new skilled workers program, similarly to the Express Entry system applying to
the rest of Canada, to manage its own selection of applicants intending to settle in the province.
</p>
<p class="lead">
Applicants are ranked in a pool and the province selects the best profiles depending on its needs.
Speaking French to a certain level is almost inevitable in that scoring system to be competitive. For
those with lower scores, a permanent job offer validated in Quebec will certainly improve the score
and ease the settlement with an employment already secured. In those cases, depending on the
profile and the employers’ needs, we might be able to provide a <u>permanent validated job offer</u> as we
work with employers located in the province of Quebec.
</p>
<p class="lead">
<b>Here is the list of factors for the ranking of applicants:</b>
</p>
<ul><i>1. Your training (level of education and area of training). Please note that since
December 31, 2015, only diplomas obtained before the submission of your
application are considered in the attribution of points for the Education Level
criterion</ul>

<ul>8. Other factors, incuding the number of children under the age of 22 who will be

<ul>9. Your capacity for financial self-sufficiency (you must sign a contract in which you
undertake to provide for your needs and your family’s needs for at least the first
three months following your arrival in Québec)</i></ul>
<br>

If you speak French at an intermediate level, or if you learning or willing to learn, this program
might be the ideal way to get your Canadian Permanent residency.

<b>Express Entry Skilled Workers</b>

<p>Based on a point test, the Government of Canada has been selecting the highest scoring applicants
since 2015 in their Express Entry pool. There are minimum requirements to be met to be eligible to
register:</p>
<ul><i>1. Be at least 18 years old.</ul>
<br>
<ul>2. Have at least 6.0 IELTS (General Training Exam) on all four abilities (or the equivalent in a TEF Canada French test.</ul>
<br>
<ul>3. Have at least one year full-time of continuous work experience in high or semi-skilled occupation.</ul>
<br>
<ul>4. Have at least a Canadian high-school diploma or the equivalent.</ul>
<br>
<ul>5. Have at least 67 points on the eligibility point test.</i></ul>
<br>
<p>Once an applicant has been selected or invited to apply (ITA) for the Permanent residency (PR), he
has to show that he has sufficient funds to support his family and the main applicant and his spouse
and dependents will have to pass the medical and criminal check</p>

<b>Provincial Nomination Programs</b>
</p>
<p>There are provincial nomination programs in almost every Canadian province and most of these
programs are now linked with the Federal Express Entry system. A nomination can make all the
difference as it can raise substantially the Comprehensive ranking score of an applicant in the pool.</p>
<p>These programs are normally targeting applicants with work experience in specific occupations to fill
their labor shortages identified in the provinces. We can assist you in finding the right programs to
get a nomination and be invited to apply for the PR.</p>

Program requirements:

<ul>1. <b>Self-employed person</b> means a foreign national who has relevant experience, intends and is able to be self-employed in Canada, and can contribute to Canada’s economy in one of the required areas.</ul>

<ul>2. Score at least 35 on the self-employed point test.</ul>
<br>
<ul>3. <b>Relevant experience</b> for a self-employed person means at least two years of experience within the last five years of the application. The experience must be:
</ul>
<br>
<ul><i><b>for cultural activities:</b></ul>
<br>
<ul>two one-year periods being self-employed in cultural activities (A), or two one-year periods participating at a world-class level in cultural activities (B), or a combination of a one-year period described in A above, and a one-year period
described in B above.</ul>
<br>

<ul><b>for athletics:</b></ul>

<ul>two one-year periods being self-employed in athletics (A), or two one-year periods participating at a world class level in athletics (B), or a combination of a one-year period described in A above, and a one-year period described in B above, and</ul>

<ul><b>for buying and managing a farm, two one-year periods managing a farm.</b></i></ul>

If you have had some success with your self-employed work in the country where you reside as
described above you might be suitable to get the Permanent residency through that business
program. That program still works on a first-arrived, first-served basis. We can assist you in applying
for that program after determining if you are eligible.
