It's a bit confusing rn, but the graph I made which is currently in the main repo is what I believe the path to be. The main image is a common upstream that adds packages used in other ublue images. If you want to configure the flatpaks to install on the image-side (which will still be installed on your computer and not in the image), in the future, you'll use the startingpoint template and configure them there (in the same manner as recipe.yml does in the currently-being-retired base). |

We're waiting on finishing the flatpak installer, which is just a glossier version of the zenity installer: https://github.com/ublue-os/yafti It shouldn't take long, if you REALLY need flatpaks and can't wait (like me) I copied ublue-firstboot from base to put into my own image but hoping to wrap up the flatpak thing soon. |

Thank you so much for your response! The plan is to make a polished XFCE image based on Vauxite, as XFCE can be a bit rough out of the box. I'm looking at Xubuntu as well as the XFCE variants of MX-Linux, Manjaro, Linux Mint, and Zorin for inspiration. And then fork that to form a personal installer for my own needs. Curious as to what extent this approach can replace something like Ansible. As things stand right now, I'll hold off on adding Flatpaks until yafti lands :) |

I feel like I'm missing something here in how the new images are structured. Is there a packages file where I can add additional Flatpaks?
