Editor does not recognize EOL

Version: RC W33, but this bug is present since the early canonical days

When editing notes, pressing enter will move the cursor to the next line, but the editor behaves like the line continues:

• if you turn ob bullets or enumeration, you get one bullet and that's it. Your whole text will be one single entry in your bulleted list.
• if you press enter immediately following a word (several times) and then type a full-stop, it will be appended to the word several lines above
