Welcome! So that we can spend most of our limited time working through core concepts, we ask that you complete the following before the start of the course.
- Complete Python Prerequisites
- Coursera Courses Programming for Everybody (Getting Started with Python) and Python Data Structures or
- Read the book and complete the exercises in Python for Everyone
- Complete the Software Setup and read both the Programming Landscape and Considerations for Data Projects.
- Download/Fork Geoff Boeing's Urban Data Science Course repository. The lessons in this camp will mirror much of the work in that course, and we will be stepping through his notebooks to demonstrate core concepts.
- Download and complete the Pre-Course Activity (Pre-Course-Activity.ipynb). If you have git/GitHub installed on your computer you can fork the repository (don't worry if you don't know how to yet - we will walk you through it during the course!). Otherwise go to the main repository folder, "Clone or Download" > "Download ZIP" to get the .ipynb file.
