Rework integration tests

Fixes:

• Rework the integration tests currently to replace the dependency on a running Docker simulator with an internal stub.
• Commonalise the controller value for each test suite
• Add integration tests for invalid TCP and UDP destinations
• Add integration tests for timeouts
