Create master database file of varaibles

Necessary columns across variables:

• Year
• County FIPS code (polygons) or lat/lon (points)

To Do:

• Incorporate demographics data

• Incorporate social capital indices

• Rename land use categories

Do we need to identify the county FIPS code for each lat/lon point data so that we have one common identifier? I.e., I don't think as common identifier, we can use this or that. I think we may have talked about this - creating a master list/shapefile of counties to quickly identify where lat/lon points belong.

By interpolating the point data across counties, we can perform a merge or union so that the interpolated data will have a FIPS code, right?
