Preferred serialization/Deterministic encoding

You mention using https://cbor.me as a reference.

It is possible that I haven't studied your code thoroughly, but it appears that you don't perform "Preferred Serialization" or "Deterministic Encoding". This may be a future request since it is currently in the IETF for standardization:

It's funny you should mention this. I just ran into this problem using SwiftCBOR - it was inconsistently serializing maps which was causing problems with a message signing protocol.

We got 2 PRs that address this issue.
Can we get any response on the matter from maintainers? ( @hamchapman if you are not maintainers anymore can we know who is? Im tagging you since you participated on reviewing the last PRs :) )
This PRs are there for 9 months and more than a year.

Sorry, I've been too busy to give this any attention recently. To be candid, the sort of attention I can give this more generally is pretty bursty rather than anything consistent. So yeah, if there are others who are happy to join in with maintenance then that would be great. Otherwise I'll be able to take a look at things like #110 and #50 within the next couple of weeks.

Sorry @valpackett @hamchapman I already got a few libraries of mine that im supporting and adding content, besides my work so Im pretty full, dont think I would do a good job.

But this library has quite a few Stars, if you are up too, why not ask an organization like swift-server if they want to take it and control maintenance :) they might accept it.
