Thanks for filing! I agree if we can get this to work it would be nice.

Note that this may be difficult as we may need to spin up a headless web browser, render icons in there, and then use that for the gutter image. It's possible there's another approach I'm not seeing, though -- like we generate the MDI / FA images ourselves manually and bundle them in the plugin (but that might bloat it a lot).
