Surpass gocode in favour of gopls

Lite id a fantastic editor, the best for GO, but too often gocode breaks and autocompletion stops at all or on certain objects.
For example, on the package https://github.com/robertkrimen/otto, if you download it offline with its dependencies, you cannot use any object from outside the project. Or better, you can but autocompletion is completely broken.
Could it be possible to pass to gopls for code compleation?
